Conda Cox

May 30, 1951 — March 12, 2021

Conda Cox went to his Heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 12, 2021. He was born on May 30, 1951 in Arjay, Kentucky. He was 69 years old. He had recently moved to Bethpage, TN to be closer to his children and grandchildren, whom he loved so very, very much. He previously lived in Middlesboro and Straight Creek, KY in Bell County. He was retired from Bosch Braking System in Gallatin, TN where he worked for 11 years. He had so many friends at Bosch, and even though he had been retired for 15 years, many of those friends were still a part of his life. He was also retired from the Middlesboro Daily News where he worked for 12 years and was very loved by so many of his co-workers and customers. Conda's life was spent loving everyone but above all, he loved the Lord with all his heart, all his mind and all his soul. He lived every single day to be pleasing unto the Lord and we know, God was so proud of him. He lived for God with every part of his being. His love for the Lord shined through every part of him. He loved to share the Good News with everyone he knew and everyone he met. He especially loved talking to strangers about God and inviting them to church. He even found out that one of those strangers he talked to years and years ago became a preacher. Conda lived to please the Lord and to lead others to Him. He was a prayer warrior and if you ever needed prayer for anything, he was the one to go to. Besides his total devotion to his Heavenly Father, he loved to hunt, fish, camp, ginseng and just be outdoors. He could also build just about anything you need. He loved to be in the mountains alone and walked hundreds of miles through them in his lifetime. He was never afraid to be alone in the mountains because he knew he was never truly alone. Conda is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Lilly Cox, his brothers, Ray, Ronnie, and William Cox, his sister Kelsie Brummett, his sister-in-law, Alice Cox, his mother-in-law, Edna Marie Smith, his brother-in-law, Randall Smith, sister-in-law, Gerl Stewart and long-time ginsenging buddy, Tilman Saylor. Conda is survived by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Lynn and Gerald Morris of Westmoreland, TN, his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Michael David and Tabitha Cox of Bethpage, TN, his beloved daughter and her boyfriend, Melissa Kay Cox and Rory Edmonds, of Nashville, TN, his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Kristin Nicole Cox and Ian Driscoll of Gallatin, TN, his beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Brady, Lindsey and Paislee Cox of Bethpage, TN, and the mother of his children and best friend of 53 years, Brenda Kay Smith Cox of Straight Creek, KY.
