Clinton Carl Taylor

Clinton C. Taylor, 90, passed away on December 22, 2016 at his home in Pineville. He was born on September 12, 1926 a son to Claud and Lena Taylor. He was a long-time employee at the First State Bank (First Financial) in Pineville. Clint was a veteran of the Korean War in Both the Army and the Merchant Marines. He was a life-time resident of Bell County, having grown up in both Balkan and Colmer before settling in Pineville with his family for more than 60 years. He was a graduate of both Union College and Cumberland College. Upon settling in Pineville, he worked for the Retail Credit Company before joining The First State Bank family for the rest of his professional career. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Marie Hill Taylor and his brother, Dr. Leo Taylor of Pineville, and his wife, Nelda. He is survived by his son, Anthony 'Tony' Taylor and his wife, Mary and his beloved granddaughter, Heather Marie Taylor; son, Alan Taylor and his wife, Cathy. He is also survived by his niece, Ginger Norris and nephew, Scott Taylor. Services will be at 1100 AM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Pineville with Rev. Ron Suntken. Burial will be in the Middlesboro Cemetery, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Scott Taylor, Lee Swain, Baylor Fulton, Wade Bevins, David Combs and Chris VanBever. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Taylor Family.
