Clifford "Sug" Jones

Clifford 'Sug' Jones, Jr., 47, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his home with his wife and mother-in-law by his side. He was born in Pineville on September 7, 1969 a son of Clifford Jones, Sr. and Brenda Herron . He was a true believer in the Lord and had been a coal miner. Clifford and Tammy had dated from May 16, 1984 until they married on December 21, 2002; Clifford always said he didn't want to rush into marriage, so they didn't. Survivors include his wife and soul mate of 33 years, Tammy Phipps Jones, father, Clifford Jones, Sr., step-mother, Faye Jones, brothers, Jamie Jones and George Black, sisters, Reda North and Ramona Sizemore; grandmother, Sudie Jones, father and mother-in-law, George and Patsy Phipps, brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Vicky Phipps, Melissa and James Miller and Scotty Phipps and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Private family services will be held with Rev. Russell Murphy. Music was by Stephanie and Tiffany Hutton. Burial will in the Smith Cemetery with James Miller, Leonard Phipps, Scotty Phipps, Jamie Jones, Bobby Brock and Del Hubbard serving as pallbearers. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, is honored to serve the Jones Family.
