Clayton Lawson Sr.

Clayton Lawson, 63 of Calvin, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Hunstville, Alabama. He was born on November 3, 1957 in Ohio, a son of the late Curtis and Pauline Patterson Lawson Sr. Clayton was a believer in the Baptist Faith and had been a truck driver for T & W Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Lawson, Jr. and John Henry Lawson; his sister, Charlotte Upton; his nephew Timothy Lawson; and his nieces, Melinda Hopson and Michelle Rice. Clayton is survived by his wife, Tammy Lawson; his son, Clayton Lawson, Jr.; his daughter, Jessica Lee Lawson; his grandchildren, Julee Fox, Christopher Lawson, Kaitlyn Storms, Jared Storms, Preston Lawson, Evan Lawson, and Trevor Sturdivant; his brother, Farmer Lawson; his sisters, Carol Rice and her husband Dewey, Linda Joe Layne and her husband, William, and Cheryl Jackson and her husband, Steve; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Wagner presiding. Burial will follow at Big Jim Cemetery in Arjay with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the Funeral Hour.
