Claudie Avery Bailey

Claudie Avery Bailey, age 83, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away 12:45 a.m. Friday April 28, 2017 at Kindred Nursing Home. He was born on Jan. 5, 1934 and was raised in Saylor, Kentucky. He moved to Chicago, Illinois, and worked as a machinist technician for many years. Proceeded in death by his parents, Lee and Fannie Brock Bailey; son, Claude Dale Bailey; brothers, Richard and Pearl Bailey. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Loretta Brock Bailey; brother Lonnie Bailey; sisters, Geneva Short, Ina Alvarado, Jewel Coleman, Mary Brown and several nieces and nephews. Sunday, April 30, 2017, the family will receive friends at 2:00 with the funeral service at 3:00 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, Kentucky, with Rev. Odie Carroll officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
