Claude Earnest Philyaw, Sr.

Claude Earnest Philyaw, Sr., 66, of Pineville, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Pineville. Claude was born in Pineville on July 2, 1958, to the late Robert Philyaw and Lula Bell Wright. Claude worked for many years at the E&E Hardwoods Sawmill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Philyaw.

Claude is survived by; his children, Billy (Chasity) Philyaw, Jonathan (Keesha Collet) Philyaw, and Claude Philyaw, Jr, grandchildren, McKaylee Philyaw, Emily Philyaw, Keegan Philyaw, Brittany Philyaw, Jenny Philyaw, John Philyaw, and Tamera Philyaw, and sister, Janie Caudill, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, 2025, 3:00 PM, at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville with Rev. K. Alex Cox officiating. Interment will follow at the Jones Cemetery Road at Kettle Island, with friends and family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
