CLARENCE WARREN LINDENSMITH of Greenbush, Michigan and Clermont, Florida passed away at his Greenbush home on February 9, 2012.

He was born on April 20, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to Clarence R. Lindensmith and Gertrude (Fensch) Lindensmith. He retired in 1986 from East Detroit Public Schools where he was a teacher, guidance counselor and coach.

Warren and Velma (Cline) Lindensmith were married March 28, 1956 in Monroe, Michigan. The couple enjoyed 55 wonderful years together.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sister, Trudy Haskell of Sterling Heights, Michigan and his brother, Ronald (Gayle) Lindensmith of Utica, Michigan. One aunt, Shirley (Emerie) Verhille of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Uncles, Willard (Ellen) Fensch of Pigeon, Michigan and Robert (Nancy) Fensch of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nieces, Deborah (Rick) Rigsby of Tazuwell, TN, Denise Derringer of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Debra (Don) Fitzsimmons of Berkley, Michigan. Nephews, Terry (Linda) McKinney of Monroe, Michigan, Duane (Janet) Lindensmith of Warren, Michigan and Douglas (Cindy) Lindesmith of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Also survived by many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Ruth McKinney and a brother-in-law, Gerald Haskell.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Oscoda Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 212 River Road. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service at 7:00 P.M. Visitation and services will continue Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. at the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. 15 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. Mr. Lindensmith will then be taken to the Reece Funeral Home in Harrogate, Tennessee on Thursday from 1-3 P.M. where he will be interred at the Riverview Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee.
