Charlie Randall Jackson, 94, of Ingram, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born March 6, 1920 in Harlan County to the late, Joseph 'Joe' and Mary Brown Jackson. He was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He retired from the Bell County Board of Education where he was a bus driver and Maintenance Supervisor. He was Co-Founder and Co-Owner of West End Cable Company, which served Pathfork, Greasy Creek and Kay Jay. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting squirrel, quail and grouse and enjoy fishing tremendously. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Marion and Elmer Jackson; sisters, Clara Phillips and Ruth Williams; daughter, Carolyn Flynn; granddaughter, Erika Flynn; son-in-law, Michael Mills; special friends, Asa and Maurine 'Toots' Mills. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Ivory Begley Jackson; children, Peggy (Jerry) Centers of Ingram, KY; Sandra Mills of Harrogate, TN and Bobby Charles Jackson of Ingram, KY; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Flynn; Brandon (Jennifer) Jackson; Cody (Fiancee, Starr Warren) Mills and Lauren Jackson; great-grandchildren, Robert Cole Flynn and Raylan Charles Jackson; sisters, Louise Partin, Ohio and Dollie Miracle, Middlesboro; special friends, Homer and Frances Cobb; Mike and Donna Mills; Asa Mills; Amanda McGeorge; Bobby Widener; Bobby Philpot; Terry and Marian Bailey and Ernest Carroll and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Special thank you to the staff of Pineville Community Hospital Nursing Facility, Dr. T.V. Hays and Lisa Naylor for their excellent care. Services will be at 8:00 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Luther Collett. Music will be by Marvin Taylor. Burial will Friday at 11:00 AM at the Begley Cemetery at Ingram. Pallbearers will be Brandon Jackson, Justin Flynn, Cody Mills, Mike Good, Jerry Centers, Clayton Howard and Robert Flynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Bingham, Billy Jackson and Ed Goodin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Jackson Family.
