Charles Randall 'Bug Tussell' 'Josh' Smith, 55, of Pineville passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Laurel Hill after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 26, 1956 in Madison, WV to the late Clarence and Edna Marie Warren Smith. He was a former Middlesboro Daily News Carrier and had worked as a Security Guard until being diagnosed with cancer. He was well known for his love of Softball and was one of the greatest players around here. He was also an avid Andy Griffith fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Douglas Smith; nephews, Donald Ray Smith, Jr. and Tony Smith and a niece, Debbie Sue Smith. Left to mourn his passing are his son, Charles Randall Smith, Jr. and Jodi Marsee of Laurel Hill; daughters, Ashley and Timmy Castle of Barbourville and Abby Marie Smith of Barbourville, granddaughters, Isabella Noelle Castle and soon to be born, Olivia Nan Grace Castle; the mother of his children, Rita Smith and Doug Woodlee of Barbourville; brothers and sisters, Donald and Brenda Smith of Uneeda, WV; Bobby and Patty Smith of Madison, SV; Geraldine Stewart of Popular Grove, IL; Jr. Smith of Straight Creek; Joyce Marlene and Lowell Jones of Straight Creek; Brenda Kay Smith of Straight Creek and former brother in laws, Conda Cox of Middlesboro and Randall Miracle of Laurel Hill; aunt, Irene Gambrel of Four Mile; some very special friends, Larry Gambrel, Fred Whitehead, Gene Morgan and Tim Howard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
