Charles Eugene Ramsey, 91, of Ingram passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was born on August 24, 1928 in Insull, Kentucky and was the son of the late Claude Elmer and Grace Strunk Ramsey. Eugene was a member of Moss Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Air Force. When he returned home he worked as a coal miner and was a proud member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Ramsey, Jr. and Willard Ramsey. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ramsey; daughter, Phyllis Ann Hoskins; grandson, Charles Jason Hoskins; great-granddaughters, Rebecca Hoskins and Emma Hoskins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services are at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 21 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Terrell Gibson and Rev. Luther Collett. Burial will follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery in McCreary County, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 AM on Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Ramsey family.
