Charles Steven Johnson, 58 of Lexington, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Pineville. He was born on December 19, 1962, a son of Frances Sue Johnson Hurley. Charles served his country in the United States Army and had been a Truck Driver for Wright Brothers Oil Field in Enid, Oklahoma. He was a model builder and love his cats and Xbox friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Eulean Johnson; aunt, Barbara Lawson; and uncle, Freeman Johnson, Jr. Charles is survived by his mother, Frances Hurley; sister, Anita Jodi Johnson Davenport and her husband, Dennis; brother, John Michael Hurley; nieces and nephews, Sydney Davenport, Justin Davenport, Lindsey Hurley, Chloe Hurley, and Jace Hurley; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Kettle Island with Rev. Jeremy Sanders presiding. Music will be provided by Mickey Wilder. Burial will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Dennis Davenport, Justin Davenport, Bobby Brummett, Stanley Hoskins, Bret White, and Clyde Johnson. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until the funeral hour at the Mill Creek Baptist Church. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to serve the Johnson family.
