Charles David Deaton, 77 of Pineville, Kentucky went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on November 30, 1946, a son of the late John Sr and Euphemia Cox Deaton in Pineville. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army, a believer in the Baptist Faith, and had worked for General Motors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Deaton; brother, John Deaton, Jr.; and sisters, Eulene Johnson and Ada Smith.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Devona Deaton and Euphemia Ann Deaton Hamilton; grandchildren, Ashley Deaton, Jeremy Deaton, Ronald Deaton, Jr., Bridgett Deaton, Brittany Deaton, Cody Deaton, Daniel Parker, Tamara Branscome, Jessica (Cameron) Chadwell, Victoria (Dylan) Paschal, Emily Hamilton, Isaac Hamilton, and Samantha Holcomb; twenty-five great-grandchildren; special friends, Wanda Bailey and Michell Nunn; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cox presiding. Burial will follow at the Deaton Cemetery in Straight Creek. Pallbearers will be Daniel Parker, Jessica Chadwell, Billy Joe Deaton, Tom Parker, Tamara Branscome, James Gray, Allison Gibson, and Cameron Chadwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Hampton, Jerry Hampton, Bill Lefevers, Hurby Brock, Jeff Hubbard, Pearl Cox, Willie Branscome, Jeff Inman, Leroy Grossjean, and friends he viewed as sons, Jamie Jordan, Mitchell Nunn, Phillip Gary, and Carl Jordan.
