Charles Ray Brock

Charles Ray Brock, 72, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born in Stoney Fork on May 7, 1945 a son of the late Homer and Ida Forester Brock. He had retired from General Motors where he worked in the Foundry. Charles loved farming; always liked talking to people and sharing jokes and making people laugh. Charles was an honest and loving man in every way. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Brock, Jr.; grandson, Anthony Herbert and brother, Hugh Brock. Survivors include his longtime companion, Betty Tallant; daughter, Lori Herbert and husband, Michael; daughter-in-law, Marina Brock; grandchildren, Kristen Herbert, Apryle (David) Wingard, Codi Marie (Steven) Staton, Britany Gibson and Cody Gibson; great-grandchildren, Penelope Wingard, Xavion Staton and Jaymin Staton; sister, Janis (Tom) White; brothers, Ernest (Diane) Brock and Gary (Cheryl) Brock and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Messer. Music will be by Faye Messer. Burial will be in the Charlie Brock Cemetery in Corbin. Pallbearers will be Josh Brock, Dylan Brock, James Wilson and Josh Tallant. The family wishes to give thanks and gratitude to Betty Tallant for her loving and gentle care of Charles and being there for him. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Brock Family.
