Charity "Jean" I. Crowe

Charity “Jean” I. Crowe, age 72 of Linn, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Jean was born June 28, 1945, in Capito, KY, a daughter to the late Moses and Clara (Hensley) Elder.  On June 10, 2017, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Crowe at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge.  Jean had been employed most of her life as a hairstylist. She attended Solid Rock Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Cobb and Ruby Kiemic; and two brothers, Bug Elder and James Elder.

In addition to her spouse, she is survived by: one son, Claude Brown and his wife Stacey of Allentown, PA; two daughters, Clara “Sissy” Millner and her husband Robert of Harrogate, TN and Ella “Dolly” Gulley and her husband Michael of Harrogate, TN; seven grandchildren, Steven, Derrick and Shelby Brown, Chris Millner, Ashley Bundy and Dustin and Lacey Gulley; and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Reece Funeral Home Valley Chapel with Rev. Johnny Brown and Rev. Bill Angel.  Music will be by Julie Smith and George Brown.  Burial will be on Wednesday, at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Cemetery in Harrogate.  Pallbearers will be Mike Gulley, Dustin Gulley, Josh Bundy, John Gulley, Nick Kmiec and Ronnie Shultz.
