Cecilia Darlene Layne

Cecilia Darlene Layne, 54, of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, February 7 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Pineville on January 14, 1964 a daughter of the late Wayne and Dorothy Taylor Howard. She was a member of the Old Ferndale Missionary Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Layne; son and daughter-in-law, Johnathan and Samantha Layne; grandchildren, Taylor, Kaylan and Baylee Layne; brother, Tommy Howard; sister, Billie Blankenship and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Wayne Goodin. Music will be by the Ebenezer Adult and Youth Choirs. Burial will be in Mills Cemetery at Tinsley with Scott Howard, Derek Helton, Jason Taylor, Billy Mason, Jamie Smith and James Fuson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Layne Family.
