Carter Wilson

Carter Wilson, 79, of Kettle Island, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Harlan Co. on March 9, 1932 a son of the late Otis and Merlie Caldwell Wilson. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and had worked for General Motors for 32 years and also worked as a security guard for Storm Security. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Faye Elliott Wilson; an infant child; brother, Otis Wilson, Jr.; sisters, Joyce Shepherd and Bernice Lewis. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Eddie and Leigh Ann Wilson; Jane and Jimmy Stewart; grandchildren; Kyle and Jessica Wilson, Lauren and Kyle Hoskins, Matthew and Carrie Smith; great-grandchildren, Claire Alice Wilson and Morgan Kylie Wilson; brothers, Dale and Sandy Wilson, Dean and Gay Wilson; sisters, Elsie Bailey, Betty Williams, Phronia Thacker and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
