Carrie Saylor Wilson, 80, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Middlefork on December 20, 1932 a daughter of the late John Henry and Sarah Brock Saylor. Carrie was a firm believer in the Holy Ghost and a member of the Pentecostal faith having been saved at age 14. She was an avid gardener and loved raising flowers and vegetables. Everyone loved Carrie and the valuable wisdom she taught everyone, especially her children. She was a loving mommy and mamaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Wilson; children, Boyd Wilson, Louise Faye Mullins and Denver Wilson, brothers and sisters, John Henry 'Granny's John' Saylor, Lee Saylor, Rev. Kale Saylor, A.D. Saylor, Wilkie Saylor, Fannie Adams and 'Little' John Henry Saylor. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Gwen and Vernie Wilson, Don and Pat Wilson, Hassel Wilson, Kathy and Monroe Osborne, Sheila and Tillman Brock, Brenda McNab Wilson, Frances and Ricky Lawson. Donna and John Beggs, Sherry and Walter T. Givens, Kim Wilson and Morris and Mikita Wilson; grandchildren, Scottie, Tammy, Mona, Tina, Tim Ray, Travis, Donald, Amy, Rodney, Sarah, Bridgett, Chasity, Amanda, Jonathan, Laura, John, Shanda, Hannah, Ricky, Cody, Tyler, Tara, Stuart, Nicholas, Ronnie Allen, Justin, Brandon and Andrew; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Denver Saylor, Claude Saylor and Ival Saylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to granddaughter, Hannah Ashlie Caldwell, grandson, John McNab; son-in-law, Toby Givens; Arnold and Sharon Saylor, Verlan and Paula Brock, Barbara and Sterling McDonald, Brenda Brock Holman, Doyle and Donna Brock, Dean and Janice Gross, the Hospice Team, especially Madonna and Amy and to everyone who has done so much to help us during this time.
