Carolyn Jane Terry Bishop

Carolyn Jane Terry Bishop, 89, of Pineville, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Corbin, KY on February 1, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Lassie Phillips Terry. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pineville and had been a Sunday School Teacher in the Junior Department for over 28 years. Carolyn was a homemaker and was known for her baking and candy making. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Marion, Roscoe, Edwin and Walter Edward Terry; sisters, Edna Cunningham and Etta Duff. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Andrew Wainwright Bishop; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Cathy Bishop; Gene and Gloria Bishop and Keith and Patty Bishop; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Terry and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, Pineville, with Rev. Ron Howard and Rev. Bruce Walzer. Music will be by Mickey Wilder. Burial will in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Frank Bingham, Bobby Ray Hendrickson; John Jones; Charlie Smith; Jimmy Terry and Ronnie Washam serving as pallbearers.. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Farris. The family will receive friends from 12 until the funeral hour at the First Baptist Church, Pineville.
