Caroline Saylor Martin

Caroline Saylor Martin, 62 of Hulen, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 31, 1961, a son of the late James White and Caroline Dorton Saylor. She was a believer in the Baptist Faith and had been a member of the Blackmont Baptist Church. Caroline had been a bus monitor and teachers’ aide for Bell Whitley Community Action Agency.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Morrison Martin, and brother, Robert Collins.


Caroline is survived by her husband of 39 years, Donald D. Martin; by her daughters, Brittany Bethan Martin-Pullen and husband, David Alexander Pullen, of Cecilia, Kentucky, and Megan Marie Martin and Dustin Burchett of Gravel Switch, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jesse Cheyanna Pullen and Caroline Blake Burchett; brothers, William and Wanda Collins of London, and Raymond and Connie Saylor of Speedwell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Collins of Chicago, William and Tamara Blevins of Hulen, and Sherry Kay Slack of Hodgenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Blackmont Baptist Church in Hulen with Rev. David Howard and Elder Rick Dorton presiding. Burial will follow at the Upland Cemetery in Hulen with family and friends serving as pallbearers.


The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Blackmont Baptist Church.
