Carl Smith

Carl Smith, 66 of Pineville passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home. He was born in Kettle Island on August 6, 1944, a son of the late Frank and Florence Hubbard Smith. Carl was a believer in the Holiness faith, had been a Coal Miner and had worked for Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Grudger and two brothers, Jack and Wayne Smith. Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Diann Wilder Smith; daughter, Brenda Smith Mullins and husband Scotty of Dorton Branch; son, Frank Smith and wife Shirley of Pineville; grandchildren, Caroline Hill, Anthony Mullins, Alesha Mullins, Austin Mullins and Dustin Layne; great-grandchild, Kathlean Hill; sister, Doris Burnett of Ingram; brother, Paul Smith of Middlesboro and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
