Carl Hamblin

Carl Hamblin, age 78 of Cumberland Gap was born Feb 8, 1938 to the late Clarence & Rachel Collins Hamblin and passed away May 9, 2016. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: Son- Richard Hamblin, Brothers- Paul Hamblin, J.D. Hamblin, Dorsey Hamblin and sister Kathleen Hickey. Carl was the owner of Hamblin Racing, owned and operated Lafollette Collision Center for many years, He was a former leader of Boy Scouts of America, organized & ran a Bikes for Kids Christmas charity and was a very active sponsor of Little League programs.

Survivors include: Wife- Sherry Crigger Hamblin of Cumberland Gap, Timothy Hamblin of Speedwell, Steven Hamblin of Cumberland Gap, Zac Crigger Hamblin of Cumberland Gap, Bradley Crigger Hamblin of Cumberland Gap, Daughter- Debbie Hamblin Large of Knoxville, Three grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Friday May 13 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Leach Family Cemetery with military honors.
