Calvin Coolidge Brown

Calvin Coolidge Brown age 90 of Harrogate passed away Nov 30, 2014. Born April 2, 1924 to the late Millard & Rachel Longworth Brown. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wife - Edith Marie Houndshell Brown, Brothers- Parris, Arvil & Hubert, Sisters- Mrs. Howard "Lilly" Brooks, Mrs. Lester "Pearl" Middleton, Mrs. Earl "Shirley" Yeary, Mrs. Martin "Nola" Landon & Mrs. Carl "Ethel" Dean. He was a member of Mt Gilead Baptist Church and donated the land where the church was built.

Survivors include: Sons- Wade of Middlesboro, Morgan of Woodway VA, Harold ( & Linda) of Ewing VA, Paul ( & Bernice) of Harrogate, Dennis (& Sherry) Brown of London KY, Daughter Mrs. Roger "Judy" Hansard of Tazewell, Grandchildren - Michael Brown of Ewing, Kenneth Brown of Harrogate, Aaron Brown of Knoxville, Mark Brown of Knoxville, Joel Hansard of Knoxville, Jordan Hansard of Clarksville, Jimmy Rose of Tazewell, Samantha Brooks of Middlesboro and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. Roger Hansard & Rev. Dennis Cosby officiating. Music by True Gospel Singers. Visitation Tuesday from 6-8 at Reece Funeral Home. Burial Wednesday in the Jones Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
