Calloway Blanton

Calloway Blanton, 86, of Stoney Fork, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home. He was born in Stoney Fork, KY on April 2, 1931 a son of the late Gorman and Lettie Caldwell Blanton. He had worked for Ritter's logging. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Phoebe Brock Blanton; his second, wife, America Saylor Blanton, son, David Glenn Blanton, grandson, Chris Johnson; son-in-law, Gene Johnson, brothers and sisters, Beulah Faye Thompson, Ethel Blanton Saylor, Theo Blanton, Avery Blanton and George Blanton. Survivors include his children, Emma (Gene) Johnston, Geneva (Andy) Gossett, Earl Blanton, Darrell Blanton, Wayne (Florine) Blanton, Maretta (Carl) Tidwell, Scotty (Wendy) Blanton; step-children, Russell Brock and Linda Brock; nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Lee Blanton, Burley Blanton and Grant Blanton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Blanton Cemetery at Stoney Fork with Rev. Herstel Belcher. Pallbearers will be Scotty Blanton, William Blanton, Russell Wayne Blanton, David Wayne Blanton, Tommy Belcher, Donnie Belcher, David Earl Belcher, Darrell Blanton and Earl Blanton.
