May 10, 1931 — April 10, 2017
Burton N. Long, age 85 of Cumberland Gap was born May 10, 1931 to the late Joe & Mossie Long and passed away April 10, 2017. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 6 sisters. He was a member of Underwood Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife- Barbara Long, son- James Long, sisters- Mae Bowling & Louise Lambert, grandsons Justin & Josh Long and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be 7 PM Tuesday April 11 at Underwood Grove with Rev. Marvin Simmons officiating. Music provided by Franklin Chumley. The family will receive friends from 5-7. Burial 12 PM Wednesday at the Hooper Cemetery. Pallbearers: Carlos Long, Justin Long, Roger Sandifer, Jimmy Johnson, Robert Baker, Kenneth Powell. Honorary pallbearers: Jack Treadway & Josh Long.
