August 21, 1969 — February 10, 2016

Bruce Wayne Redmond, 46, of Balkan, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son and uncle. He was born on August 21, 1969 the son of Carolyn Poore Redmond and the late Carl Redmond. He was a member of Bennett's Fork Baptist Church. Bruce was an EMT, a coal miner and drove a school bus for the Bell County School District. He had served 12 years in the Kentucky National Guard and he also served in the Army Reserve for 1 year. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Edna Redmond and his father, Carl Redmond. He is survived by the following members of his family, his loving wife of 15 years, Hope Jackson Redmond, two daughters, Faith Ann Redmond and Joy Carol Redmond; his mother, Carolyn Poore Redmond; two brothers, Carl T. and Jean Redmond, Adam and Amanda Redmond; two sisters, Sheri and Fred Byrd, Tina and William Short and a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends at the bus garage. Services will be on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Gibbons and Rev. Freeman Clark. Music will be by the Whipple Church Choir. Burial will in the Oakview Cemetery at Middlesboro on Sunday at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Justin Redmond, Tyler Redmond, Chris Short, Brad Short, Mark Redmond and Brian Redmond. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Redmond Family.
