Brenda Kay Elliott Lawson, 60 of Jenson passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Hazard ARH Hospital. She was born in Pineville on March 18, 1959 and was a daughter of the late Charles Dewey and Lucy Messer Elliott. She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy DeWayne Lawson and her sister, Mildred Doolin. Survivors include her son, Doug Lawson and his significant other, Gena Hatfield; grandchildren, Charity Cheyenne Lawson, Timothy Douglas Lawson, Aeriauna Grace Lawson and Anslee Grace Lawson; great-granddaughter, Zayden Northern; sisters, Bitha Lee Smith and Irene Bicknell; brothers, Charles Elliott and Larry Elliott; her longtime special friend, Ronnie D. Carroll; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 30 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville with Dr. Steven Morgan. Burial will follow in the Jenson Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be sent to Arnett & Steele Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM on Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Lawson family.
