Brenda Louise Hightower

Brenda Louise Hightower, 73, of Pineville, KY passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home. Born in Pineville on April 2, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Glendon William and Martha Louise Hightower. Brenda was an active and faithful member of The First United Methodist Church of Pineville, where she served on several committees. Brenda was passionate about her music, loved playing the piano, reading, needlepoint and enjoyed her art of painting. She appreciated and loved her friends and neighbors. Brenda graduated from Lincoln Memorial University School of Nursing and retired as a Registered Nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glendon W. Hightower, Jr. and Christopher Shawn Hightower, and a very special uncle, Homer Mason. Survivors include her sister, Karen Carnes of Georgia; niece, Krista Stocky of South Carolina; special great-niece, Reagan Noelle Rogers of Florida; a special cousin Debbie Jo Partin for her love and support; aunts, Mary Sue Mason and Betty Jo Lamkin; and a host of cousin's other relatives and many special friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Suntkin. Music will be by Mr. Brian Robbins. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jerry Woolum, M.D., Tim Partin, Gary Mason, Larry Mason, Dave Pannell, Edward Ray, Charles Bishop, Raymond Woods, Terry Bradley and the Members of the First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 until 2 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, which is honored to be serving the Hightower family.
