Brenda Sue Arnett

Brenda Sue Arnett died on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born in Bell County on June 21, 1945, a daughter of Walter and Mary Saylor Arnett. Brenda graduated from Union College in 1963 with a B.S. Degree and a Masters Degree in Education in 1967. She taught 27 years in the Middlesboro School System, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed all sports, especially Kentucky Basketball. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ralph Everett and an infant brother. She is survived by a sisters, Flossie Howard of Monroe, OH; two brothers,, Robert Arnett and wife, Barbara of Franklin, OH and Walter D. 'Don' Arnett and wife, Lucy of Pineville, KY. Three nieces, Cheryl Driscoll, Seanna Howard and Karla Massimo; two nephews, Mark Arnett and Chris Arnett; three great-nieces and six great-nephews. For many of the younger relatives, she was 'Aunt B.' The family would like to thank her many good friends who worked with her in the Middlesboro School System and continued to visit her frequently during her illness. We would also like to express our appreciation to the staff of Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the time she was a patient. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lynn Miracle and Rev. David Howard. Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Arnett Family.
