Bonnie Rogers

Bonnie Bryant Rogers, 79, formerly of Green Valley ,AZ, passed away at her home in Manchester on Sunday, February 26, 2012. She was born in Harlan County, KY on November 24, 1932, a daughter of the late Emiet and Lucy Rice Bryant. Bonnie was a graduate of Pineville High School. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Green Valley and had worked in Defense Logistics for the United States Government. She had been an active member of her community, sharing excess from her garden and trees with her neighbors and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Rogers, daughter, Treasa DeFlores, son, Garry Shively; grandson, Ronnie Burch, brothers, Thurman, Hubert and Ray Bryant; sisters, Edith Bryant and Mary Allen. Survivors include her grandsons, Jim Burch of Greensboro, NC, Samuel Shively of Columbus, OH; step-children, Mark Rogers, SeaTac, WA; Christel Rogers, Copperas, TX; step-granddaughter, Sarah Boyer; sisters, Barbara Burchell and her husband, Norwood, Manchester, KY and Helen Allen of Pineville; special niece and caregiver, Susan Shearer, Harrogate, TN as well as other nieces and nephews.
