Bobby R. Philpot

Bobby R. Philpot, 76, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Lynch, KY on June 10, 1942 a son of the late Chester Ray and Marie Hoskins Philpot. Bobby had worked for CXS Railroad for 30 years and worked on track maintenance. He was a member of Ryan's Creek Baptist Church and Old Straight Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Barry D. Philpot. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Hazel Laws Philpot; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Penny Philpot; grandchildren, Sheena Philpot, Cole Philpot and Jared Philpot; great-grandchild, Ethan, Landon, and Hailey and brother, Eugene Philpot and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Ward, Rev. Herbert Wells, Rev. Don Messer, Rev. David Rice and Rev. Clayton Barton. Music will be by Pam Barton, Teresa Barton and Bridgett Saylor. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Roy Mills, Kenny Gann, Jimmy Haley, Keith Lefevers, Coleman Lefevers, Tommy Garland, Mark Slusher, Carl Chaney and Ray Mills, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Widener, Bo Bush, Dr. Jerry Woolum, Scotty Madon, John Lefevers, Mark Begley, Jackie Stephens, Larry Meadows, Lloyd Bryant, Dudley Hilton, Robbie Valentine, Brian Crawford and Tommy Gambrel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Philpot Family.
