Billy Wayne Rutherford

Billy Wayne Rutherford, 72 of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2021, at Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, Tennessee. He was born in Dorton Branch, Kentucky on January 26, 1949, and was a son of the late Ula Bay and Martha Ann Hensley Rutherford. Billy served his county in the United States Army and had worked as a Job Case Manager for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Cabinet for Families and Children. He was a believer in the Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh, Ernest, Kenneth, Bobby, Clarence and Charles Rutherford and sisters, Magdalene Shepherd, Sara Rutherford, and Helen Greene. Billy is survived by his children, Curtis Rutherford and wife, Tosha, Kelly Rutherford and wife, Michelle, Stuart Rutherford, and Martha Williams and husband, Mitchell; grandchildren, Sierra, Meradith, Aaron, Marcus, Andrew, Chase, Blake and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Felix and Taylee; sisters, Lorene Bingham and Elsie Smith and husband, Cecil; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Bishop Custer Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Rutherford family.
