Billy C. Patterson

Billy C. Patterson, 84 of Kettle Island, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. He was born in Knox County, Kentucky on July 6, 1938, a son of the late James and Mary White Patterson. Billy had been a coal miner and had owned a service station.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Patterson; and a special friend, Melvin Bolton.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Billie Prewitt; grandchildren, Cody Fritts and wife, Jessica, and Will Prewitt; great grandchildren, Gunner Fritts and Holden Prewitt; sister, Debbie Brock and husband, Terry; special friends, Freddie Taylor, Freddie Mays, and Robert King; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Per Billy’s request he was cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
