Billy Ray Maiden

Billy Ray Maiden, 77 of Frakes, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home. He was born in Pineville on August 26, 1947, a son of the late Lenis and Lizzie Mae Odell Maiden. Billy had been a guard at Henderson Settlement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas York; brother, James Maiden; and sisters, Georgie Browning, Delsie Payne, Betty Braden, Sara Jean Bailey, Claudia Horner, Wanda Maiden, and Mary Miracle.

Billy is survived by his wife, Elise Browning Maiden; sons, Dennis D. York and Joseph R. Maiden; granddaughter, Kayla Gholston; great-grandchildren, Emryn Gholston and Wyatt Gholston; brother and sister-in-law, Andy John and Georgia Maiden; sister, Glenda Thweatt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private services were held at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Maiden Family.
