Billy Giles Browning

Mr. Billy Giles Browning, a resident of Pineville, KY, passed away at the Pineville Community Hospital on June 9, 2015. Mr. Browning was born September 20, 1930 in Bell County, KY, the son of the late W.B. and Grace Giles Browning. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Browning was a member of First Baptist Church of Pineville, Bell Masonic Lodge No. 691 F. & A.M. and Bell County Historical Society. He served in the U.S. Air Force, worked in the construction industry and retired from AT&T and Brevard County Public Schools in Florida. He lived in Florida for many years and returned to Pineville for the summers after his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Hendrickson and Mary Frances Woods and brothers, Leon E. Browning and Larry C. Browning. He is survived by his wife Rickey Madon Browning; his son Jeffrey Brent Browning and daughter-in-law Marye Bess Browning of Ozark, AL; his daughter, Susan Browning Nichols and son-in-law Vincent Parker Nichols of Orlando, FL, his five grandchildren, Adam and Parker Nichols of Orlando, FL, Marye Grace, Anna, and Sara Browning of Ozark, AL. He is also survived by his brother Jerry Browning, sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Browning of Pineville, brother, Van Browning of Pineville, and sister-in-law June Browning of Middlesboro, along with many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services including a Masonic Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 12th, 12:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Howard of First Baptist Church of Pineville officiating. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Adam Nichols, Parker Nichols, Bruce Hendrickson, John Browning, Gary Woods, Phillip Woods and Terry Wilson. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Steve Morgan, Fred Roper, Eugene Lambdin, Glenn Browning, C.B. Cook, Luther McWane, Wayne Bishop and Wesley Wilson. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Browning Family.
