Bill Dale Mccarty

Bill Dale McCarty, 90, of Speedwell, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Claiborne Medical Center, Tazewell. He was born in Pineville, KY on April 28, 1925, a son of the late Fred W. McCarty and Versie Elliott McCarty Disney. Bill had served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of the First Christian Church and had been a self-employed businessman who owned and operated McCarty's Farm and Hardware Supply. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald E. McCarty. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Charlotte Chaffin McCarty; sons and their wives, Steve and Gina McCarty; Dale and Teresa McCarty; grandsons and their wives, Sean and Heather McCarty; Patrick and Nickie McCarty; step-grandchildren, Leah Johnston and husband, Andrew, Brayden Johnston, Dani Patterson, Ryan Patterson, Alex Dixon and Rachel Dixon; niece and nephews, Elliott McCarty and Patricia Lichtenberg and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Combs.
