Bill Lee Fuson, 61, formerly of Ingram, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Pace, Florida. He was born at Green Briar in Bell County on January 6, 1956, and was a son of the late Ben and Janice North Fuson. Bill served his country in the United States Navy, from which he retired after 20 years of service. Upon his retirement, he returned to work for the Navy as a civilian contractor working in computer programming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Cecil Fuson. Survivors include his wife, Inez Thrower Fuson; his son, Billy Fuson, and then upon his marriage to Inez, he became the father of Stephen Hall and James Hall; sisters, JoAnn Staples, and husband, Ambassador George Staples, and Pauline Hicks and husband, Ed; his brother, Alvie Ray Fuson and wife, Sylvia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Father John Moriarty and Rev. Terrell Gibson. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Tad Goodin Cemetery at Ingram. Pallbearers will be his three sons, Billy, Stephen and James, Ed Hicks, Michael Hammons and Richard Dove. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Fuson family.
