Weston , Betty Neal-age 87, of Middlesboro, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010. She was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia on the 21st of May, 1922. She was the daughter of Milton Clay Weston and Loula Headen Weston and the granddaughter of James Emmett Weston and Mary Catherine Van Deventer Weston and John Fernand Headen and Laura Ellen Quillen Headen. She was retired from the federal government. Her government service included employment in Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA. She worked for the U.S. Dept. of Labor, U.S. Dept. of Federal Mediation, and U.S. Forest Service. She was privileged to be reared in a wonderful Christian home by loving parents. She was born the second time at the age of eight years old and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Milton Clay Weston, Jr., John Hill Weston; sisters Eva Jeanette Weston Hill, Elsie Mae Weston Powers, Wanda Josephine Weston Jones Hopgood, Laura Margaret Weston Stapleton, Mary Catherine (Kathryn) Weston Beck, and many precious nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. February 20th, at Scott Cemetery in Harrogate, TN. Rev. G.P. Simmons of First Baptist Church of Harrogate will be officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lone Branch Baptist Church, c/o Debbie Burchett, Route 1, Box 314, Jonesville, VA 24263 or to the First Baptist Church of Harrogate, P.O. Box 520, Harrogate, TN., 37752, in Ms. Weston's Memory.
