Betty Fay Welch

Mrs. Betty Fay Welch age 91 of Harrogate was born August 20, 1926 and passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at UK Healthcare Good Samaritan in Lexington, KY.  She was a member of Shawanee Baptist Church and was a very active member of the Harrogate Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Nola (Wilshire) Gray; and by her husband, James David “J.D.” Welch.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Coppinger and husband Gene of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, John Coppinger and wife Ruth Jameson of Orland Park, IL; Holly Coppinger of Nicholasville, KY; Julie Clark and husband Ben of Chandler, AZ.  She is also survived by her great grandchildren, James, Grayson and Julian Coppinger; her brothers, C.B. Grey of Knoxville, TN, and David Gray of East Bridgewater, MA; sister, Lois Davis of LaFollette, TN; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1PM until 2PM with funeral services to follow at 2PM in the Reece Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Campbell Memorial Gardens.
