Betty Jo Vanover, age 71, of Cumberland Gap, TN, went to be with the Lord May 6, 2008. She was born November 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Robert and Martha McGeorge. In addition to her parents she, is preceded in death by her 1st husband, James 'Bud' Vanover; daughter, Patricia Kay Vanover; brother Robert 'Bob' McGeorge; 2nd husband, Gordon Ratliff; and granddaughter, Amy Mattingly Ensor. She worked for Clinch-Powell for numerous years and Belks in Middlesboro, but her favorite job was goat farming. She is survived by daughter, Teresa (Larry) Adams; son, James (Lucy) Vanover; sister, Joyce Nunn; grandchildren, Dustin (Samantha) Adams, Sheree Adams, Jamie Vanover (Matthew Fischer); great grandchildren, Dylan Ensor, Alexus Vanover, Jacob Marsee, Gabriel Adams; special friend, Eula Hughes; special sister-in-law, Aggie Vanover.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
