Betty Lou Davis Thompson

Betty Lou Davis Thompson, born September 9, 1930, passed away suddenly at her home on March 12, 2006. Mrs. Thompson was a long-time resident of Pineville, Kentucky and worked for many years at Flocoe Drug Store. She moved to Harrogate Tennessee after the flood in 1977. She was currently residing in Vinton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thompson, and was the last of nine brothers and sisters. Mrs. Thompson is survived by four children, Kathryn Venable, of Vinton Virginia, Thomas Thompson of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Suzanne Fowley of Roanoke, Virginia and Samuel Thompson of Salem Virginia. Mrs. Thompson was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Catherine Brooke (Venable) Smith, Matthew Benjamin Venable, Abigail Louise Thompson, Jessica Lynn Thompson, Rachel Kathryn Fowley, Cassidy Lynn Sheridan and Cameron Elizabeth Thompson. She also had one great-grandchild, Berkley Albion Smith. There will be a graveside service 10:00 a.m. at The Harrogate Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
