Betty Jean Maier

Betty Jean Williams Maier (Jeannie), 77, of Dandridge, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee surrounded by her family. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on January 3, 1940 a daughter of the late Clearnece and Elizabeth Koons Williams. She had been a homemaker and a granny to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in law Donald Smith. Survivors include daughters, DeLynn and husband Ralph Stroup, Angela D. Smith, sons, Todd R. and wife Janet Kelly, Ty and wife Lynn Kelly and Jassen and wife, Sharon,10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Janie Bugher, Billie McNaughton and host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Jeannie's life will be held at a later date. Following Jeannie's wishes, she was cremated at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, Kentucky, is honored to serve the Maier Family.
