Betty Ruth Hale

Betty Ruth Cantrell Hale, age 83, of Pineville, KY passed away at her home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles E. Hale, Sr.; her parents, Mance and Ella Mae Napier Cantrell; brothers, Cecil, Virgil, Delmer, Mitchell, Mance, Jr., Walter, Herchel, Estil and sister, Mary Alice. Betty is survived by her children, Chuck Hale (Bernice), Chris Hale (Janice) and Barbara Gent (John); five grandchildren, Ashley and Jeffery Anderson, Christopher Hale, Keely Hale and Cole Gent; sister, Burdis Spradlin of West Van Lear, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was a member of the West Pineville Baptist Church and served as a nurse's aide at Pineville Community Hospital until she retired in 1988. Services will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Jones and Rev. Eddie Barker. Burial will be on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Paintsville, KY. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:0 until 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hale Family.
