Betty Ruth Gibson

Betty Ruth Wilson Gibson, 86, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born at Clear Creek on march 13, 1928 a daughter of the late Elijah and Laura Green Wilson. Betty was a member of the Moss Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon D. Collett; grandhcildren, Gary Stewart, Jr. and Devonya Stewart, brothers and sisters, Finley Wilson, Ethel Gill; Sadie Cole; Annie Lilly; Randall Wilson; Mary Elizabeth Gabbard; Myrtle Lawson, William Wilson; Roy Wilson; Squire Wilson; Hattie Wilson; LaDora Kirkpatrick; Vesta Howard and Nellie Parsons. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Paul B. Gibson, children and their spouses, Randall Bryant and Trudy Gibson; W. Terrell and Carolyn Giblson and Donna L. and Gary Stewart; son-i-law, Luther Collett; grandchildren, Paula Ruth Greene; Rebecca Faith Tuttle; Joshua Collett; Paul Byrant Gibson, II; Michael Shane Stewart; Shaynina Gambrel and Jeremiah Gibson; eleven great-grandchildren; special friend, Elsie Phipps and caretaker Stacy Webb, host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. W. Terrell Gibson and Rev. Paul B. Gibson, II. Burial will be in the Fuson Chapel Cemetery at Little Clear Creek. Pallbearers will be Paul B. Gibson, II; Joshua Collett; Michael S. Stewart; Jeremiah T. Gibson; Gary Stewart and Luther Collett. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville which is honored to serve the Gibson Family.
