Betty Jean Whitehead Elrod

Betty Jean Whitehead Elrod, 62, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Bell County, passed away on June 16, 2018 at her home. She was born in Redbird, KY on November 23, 1955, a daughter of Virgie Thompson Whitehead and the late Elmer Whitehead. She had been a business owner. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two husbands, Clyde Retzlaff and Jack Elrod and a sister, Janice Whalen. Survivors include her mother, Virgie Whitehead, sisters, Wilma Ogan, Alice Caldwell and Bernice Harris, brothers, Fred Whitehead, Taylor Whitehead and Ronnie Whitehead and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. The family will receive friends on Friday after 6:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the family of Betty Whitehead Elrod. Visitation
