Betty Joan Lomax Caldwell, 73, of Bledsoe, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Milan, TN on May 22, 1944, a daughter of the late James C. and Maybell McNeely Lomax. She believed in the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. Betty loved and welcomed everyone to her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. 'Cannonball' Caldwell, whom she married on August 4, 1961; brothers, Johnny Lomax and Eddy Lomax. Survivors include her children, Jack Caldwell and wife, Becky, Nettie Philpot and husband, Michael and Patricia Caldwell; grandchildren, A.J. (Bridgett) Hensley, Brittany Berry, Bethany Philpot, Jacklynn (Adam Caldwell, Michaela Philpot, Bridgett Berry, Jacob Caldwell and ten step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Madiosn, Leanna, Andrea, Amy, Hunter, Autumn and three step-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Caldwell; brothers, Thomas (Diane) Lomax, Earl (Marion) Lomax and Danny (Marcy) Lomax and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Cooper Cemetery, Bledsoe, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 until 9 PM, on Tuesday from 9 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Caldwell Family.
