Betty June Browning, 83, of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Middlesboro Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Pineville on November 18, 1932 a daughter of the late John and Alma Jackson Goodin. Betty June was a 1950 graduate of Lone Jack High School, where she had been a cheerleader from 1948-1950. She had worked as a Phlebotomist at the Pineville Hospital and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Bruce Collett and a brother, Earl Goodin. Survivors include her children, Jody Ealy and John Browning; grandchildren, John Dustin Lewis, Erika Danielle Evans and husband, Trae, Shonna Self and husband, Phillip, Lauren Shaw and husband, Frank, Dylan Browning and Allison Browning; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Evans, Emersyn Kate Evans, Nicholas Jones and Brandon Jones and wife, Brittany; great-great-grandchild, Josiah Jones; brother, Shirl Goodin, two special friends, Carolyn Gulley, Trish Ball and the staff at Middlesboro Nursing Home and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Collett, Rev. Irving Gipson and Mr. Frank Shaw. Burial will follow at the Goodin Cemetery at Four Mile with Dustin Lewis, Nick Jones, Brandon Jones, Phillip Self, Frank Shaw, Joey Napier and Mike Lester serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, Shirl Goodin, Philip Ball, Jim Gulley and Ulles Day. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Saturday until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Browning Family.
