Bessie Madon Henderson

Bessie Madon Henderson, 98 of Tazewell, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home. She was born in Pineville on October 12,1919 the daughter of the late A.Y. and Pearlie Gibson Madon. She had worked on an assembly line for Blair Fashions. Bessie had been a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had been an honorable woman who was the heart and soul of her family. Bessie worked hard to provide for her four children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Drew Henderson a daughter, Wanda Henderson and a host of brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Geraldine Anderson and husband, Jim, Terry Henderson and wife, Jackie and Bill Henderson; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; Special friends, Wayne Mason, Edna Austin and Stacy Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Huddleston. Burial will be in the Fuson Chapel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Henderson Family.
