Bertha Slusher

Bertha Woolum Slusher, 96, of Arjay, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Rella, KY on June 8, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Tiechor Woolum. A member of Dean Memorial Baptist Church, she had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard F. Slusher, children, Larry Franklin Slusher, Bradley Slusher, Mable Hatton and Sallie Mae Hinson and a host of brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Pauline Caldwell King, Alma Sue Kinnard, Alta Sadow, Doris Ann Stobaugh, Ray E. Slusher, Randall G. Slusher and Dale R. Slusher, twenty grandchildren nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, sister, Cleo Sizemore and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
