Berlin "Berky" Howard Jr.

Berlin "Berky" Howard, Jr., 60, of Pineville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was born in Middlesboro on November 21, 1960, a son of the late Berlin Forest Howard, Sr. and Betty Jo Young Howard. Those around him knew his love for family, music and sports - Go Cowboys! An accomplished musician, he discovered a love for drumming at an early age which led to a lifelong career of musical endeavors with many talented musicians. Married to his loving wife, Donna, of nearly 30 years, he was a committed Dallas Cowboys Fan. "Berky" always placed his family as a top priority and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He created a perfect mixture of chaos and love!! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Berlin "Little Berky" Howard, III and a sister, Karen Hoskins. Survivors include his beloved wife, Donna Griffith Howard; his daughters, Christy Mosley, Misty (John) Philpot, and Marie (Mark) Henderson; his grandchildren, Michael (Shalyn) Mosley, Jacob Maggard, Trenton Sizemore, John Aaron ((Alyson) Philpot, Justin (Stephanie) Philpot, Madison Philpot, Kaleigh Hoskins, Dillon Henderson, Reid Howard and Xander Howard; great-grandchildren, Meredith Mosley, Emoree Philpot and Logan Philpot; sister, Debbie (Bill) Bothof, special friends, Scott Madon, Bruce Thompson, John Marsee, Tony Nierengarten, plus many more and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services will be at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Tony Nierengarten. Cremation will follow the funeral service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Howard Family.
