Benjamin Lawson

Benjamin Lawson, 72, of Kettle Island, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born in Beverly, KY on November 30, 1943, a son of the late Millard and Phronia Brock Lawson. He was a member of the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Church and had been a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Arnold Ray Lawson, Lucille Brock, Tony Brock and Bobby Saylor. Survivors include his daughters and their husbands, Diane and Troy Helton, Marissa and Steve Brock, Valeria and Dwane Gregory; grandchildren, Jillian and Danny Smith, Brooke and Tim Philpot, Landon and Karissa Brock, Chad Brock, Olivia and Dylan Lawson, Cammie Brock, C.J. Hill, Anthony Gregory, Austin and Autumn Brock; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Addison Smith, Waylan Philpot, Walker and Lincoln Brock; brothers and sisters, Bonnie Brock Young, Lonnie Lawson, Shelby Lawson, Clyde Wayne Lawson, Christine Knuckles and Marilyn Saylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Church with Rev. Don Messer and Rev. Jeff Baker. Music will be by Cammie Brock, Mildred Mason and Demus Couch. Burial will be in the Brock Family Cemetery at Mill Creek. Pallbearers will be Freddy Brock, Landon Brock, Chad Brock, Tim Philpot, Danny Smith, Dylan Lawson, Shannon Lawson, Lonnie Lawson, Scott Lawson and Jake Lawson and Travis Inman. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Helton, Steve Brock, Dwane Gregory, Timmy Brock, Tony Brock, Robert Young, Jr., Eddie Brock, Luke Helton, Jeff Sizemore and Rabon Lawson. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9:00 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center and after 10:00 AM Monday at the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Church.
